Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician: Deliver Comprehensive Care in a Collaborative Environment (Near Cambridge City, IN) (j-233214)

Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician seeking a rewarding career opportunity in a collaborative and supportive environment near Cambridge City, Indiana? We are actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our established consultative practice, focused on providing comprehensive care to women with high-risk pregnancies. This full-time position offers the chance to utilize your expertise in a consultative setting, building lasting relationships with patients and their families while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Why You'll Thrive Here:

  • Focus on Consultative MFM Care: Join a well-established, consultative-only practice, allowing you to dedicate your expertise to high-risk pregnancy consultations, routine and detailed fetal anatomic surveys, genetic counseling (offered by a dedicated provider), prenatal screenings, and fetal diagnostic testing.

  • Work-Life Balance with Predictable Schedule: Maintain a healthy work-life balance with consistent weekday clinic hours (Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM) and a shared call schedule that eliminates the demands of overnight deliveries and routine prenatal care.

  • High Patient Volume and Strong Referral Network: Benefit from a strong referral base established with network OB-GYNs, ensuring a steady flow of patients (averaging 80 patients per week) and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with families facing complex pregnancies.

  • Potential for Community Outreach: Explore the possibility of expanding services to surrounding areas, further enhancing your impact on the regional healthcare landscape.

  • Supportive Team Environment and Advanced Resources: Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a Level III NICU within the same facility, ensuring seamless care coordination for your patients. Utilize state-of-the-art equipment to perform a variety of prenatal diagnostic procedures, including amniocentesis (preferred), chorionic villus sampling (CVS) (if applicable), percutaneous umbilical cord blood sampling (PUBS) (if applicable), and intrauterine transfusion (if applicable).

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations with pregnant women referred by OB-GYNs to assess potential fetal anomalies, provide genetic counseling guidance (in collaboration with a dedicated specialist), and develop personalized management plans.

  • Perform a variety of prenatal diagnostic procedures, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology for detailed fetal anatomic surveys and monitoring fetal development.

  • Collaborate effectively with referring OB-GYNs, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care for your patients with complex pregnancies.

  • Offer ongoing patient education and counseling regarding high-risk pregnancy concerns and potential treatment options.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the electronic medical records system.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in maternal-fetal medicine and participate in continuing medical education opportunities.

Who You Are:

  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

  • Active state medical license in Indiana (required upon hire).

  • Board certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or eligibility for certification (required upon hire).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire).

  • A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on clinical excellence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Join a Team That Makes a Difference:

We are committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where you can utilize your expertise, build trusting relationships with patients, and make a real difference in their journeys through high-risk pregnancies.
