Locum Tenens: Pediatric Endocrinologist (Near Casar, NC)


Are you a dedicated Pediatric Endocrinologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Casar, NC? We're looking for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide comprehensive care for children with endocrine disorders (ASAP - Ongoing).


This locum tenens position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and call coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on the lives of young patients while maintaining a manageable work-life balance.


What We Offer:



  • Comprehensive Pediatric Endocrinology Care: Play a vital role in managing a range of endocrine conditions in ;Responsibilities include clinic visits, consultations, and phone consultations with referring physicians and families.

  • Flexible Schedule & Reduced In-Person Requirements: Enjoy a predictable schedule with 8-hour weekdays and 24-hour call coverage from Monday to ;Most call coverage involves phone consultations, with minimal need for in-person ;New diabetic consultations typically require a single in-person visit for initial assessment and follow-up planning.

  • Supportive Team Environment: Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including an RN, LPN, MA, referral coordinator/scheduler, and centralized registration staff, to ensure seamless patient care.

  • Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the user-friendly Cerner PowerChart electronic medical record (EMR) system to streamline patient documentation and communication.


Qualifications:



  • Board-certified in Pediatric Endocrinology

  • Active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration required (applications will not be considered without both)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and referring physicians

  • Expertise in the diagnosis and management of pediatric endocrine disorders

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
