Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB-GYN for Locum Tenens Call Coverage
Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) passionate about women's health? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide inpatient call coverage in a growing community near Fort Bragg, NC. This temporary opportunity is available from October 4th, 2024, to October 31st, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and high-quality inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care to women within a hospital setting.
- Respond to call requests and manage a variety of obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and high-risk situations.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in hospital rounds and provide comprehensive care for assigned patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Missouri (MO) medical license or eligible for temporary licensure.
- Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is mandatory.
- Experience in a hospital setting managing inpatient obstetric and gynecological patients is preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a strong clinical foundation in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be credentialed with Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider.
- Active North Carolina (NC) license and NC DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration with a North Carolina address are required.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number must be provided.
- Must have valid NC Medicaid credentials.
- No recent or open malpractice cases. Details required in application submission.
- All-inclusive compensation rate is preferred. Alternatively, the rate must include 4-6 complimentary hours per call shift.
- Case logs from the past two years are required for submission. Documentation must be from a hospital setting, not an estimate.
