We are actively searching for a dedicated advanced practice provider (APP) to join our team and provide long-term coverage due to a recent cancellation. This locum tenens position offers a predictable schedule with no on-call responsibilities, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:



  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients presenting to the ED with a variety of medical emergencies.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and blood work, to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for less acute patients, collaborating with physicians as needed for complex cases.

  • Perform a variety of emergency procedures, including splinting, casting, suturing, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and joint aspirations.

  • Provide ongoing patient education and counseling regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

  • Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

  • Complete all documentation and billing efficiently to meet department standards.


Who You Are:



  • Current and active license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of Wisconsin (preferred) or ability to obtain an Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) privilege.

  • National certification as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in a primary care specialty is required.

  • Current ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and BLS certifications (required).

  • A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency medicine setting.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • The ability to prioritize effectively, manage a high volume of patients, and make sound clinical decisions in a time-sensitive environment.
