Seeking Dedicated and Experienced OB/GYNs to Join Our Team


Are you a passionate and highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN) seeking a challenging and rewarding locum tenens opportunity? We're searching for two qualified physicians to join our team in a growing community near McGregor, ND. This ongoing opportunity offers a 24-hour call schedule, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).


Responsibilities:



  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to women throughout all stages of pregnancy and childbirth within a supportive hospital setting.

  • Manage labor and delivery, perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections (C-sections) as needed.

  • Conduct gynecological procedures, including hysterectomies, tubal ligations, bladder repairs, and dilation and curettage (D&Cs).

  • Round on postpartum patients, monitor their progress, and address any concerns.

  • Respond to urgent obstetrical and gynecological needs within the Emergency Room (ER) when necessary.

  • Collaborate effectively with Dr. Teuma, a family physician with obstetrical experience, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the electronic medical record system (specific system not mentioned).


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted North Dakota (ND) medical license is required. The client will consider International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with a Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand.

  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is mandatory.

  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and a valid DEA registration are required.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical OB/GYN setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding on-call environment.

  • Clean malpractice history is preferred.

  • This opportunity offers a 24-hour call schedule, requiring you to be available to round on patients, deliver babies, and respond to urgent situations as needed.

  • The average patient volume is 1-3 admissions per day, with approximately 50-60 deliveries per month.

  • You will be collaborating with a supportive team led by Dr. Teuma, a family physician with OB experience.

  • The average callback rate is hours on weekdays and hours on weekends.
