Locum Tenens Opportunity: Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Near O'Brien, OR
We are seeking two skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Physicians for locum tenens positions near O'Brien, OR. This opportunity is available starting January 1, 2025, and will continue on an ongoing basis. Ideal candidates will be prepared to manage 24-hour call shifts and provide high-quality care in an inpatient setting.
Position Overview:

- Practice Setting: Inpatient
Key Responsibilities:
Call Coverage:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage (7 to 7 ) with an expected 10-11 shifts per month.
- Handle obstetric emergencies and gynecologic issues on call.
- No clinic work is required; focus solely on inpatient care.
Support and Collaboration:
- Utilize available anesthesia services, available 24 hours but not in-house.
- Consult with GYN Oncology available locally for two weeks per month.
- Access to urology GYN services 24/7.
Case Management:
- Manage an average of 8 patients per shift.
- Provide coverage for high-complexity cases, including GYN surgeries, with secondary backup call coverage available if needed.
- No VBACs will be handled.
Housing:
- Providers who can commit to consistent coverage each month may have the opportunity to utilize hospital-owned apartments instead of hotel accommodations.
Position Details:
Dates Needed:
- Coverage begins January 1, 2025, with ongoing requirements.
- Potential to cover 3-4 days per week, including weekends.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold an active Oregon medical license.
- Board Certification: Required, with board eligibility acceptable.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, ABLS, ATLS, and PALS are not required.
- Credentialing: Estimated timeframe of 60-90 days.
Additional Information:
- Privileges: No hospital/surgery center privileges required; temporary privileges not available.
- Support: Adequate support from anesthesia and specialist consultants.
