Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician with a specialization in Hematology and Oncology for a locum tenens position near Philadelphia, PA. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for a flexible schedule while contributing to a vital cancer care practice. The position is available starting ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, making it ideal for those seeking a long-term locum tenens role.
Key Details:
- Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
- Shift Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Shift Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, four days a week
- Call Coverage: 1 day per week and two weekends for a 3-month period (October 25, November 29). Weekend coverage starting September 20 if available
- Practice Setting: Outpatient
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine with Hematology and Oncology specialization
- License Requirement: Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
- EMR System: Epic (experience with EPIC preferred)
- Privileges: Hospital/surgery center privileges required, with temporary privileges available
- Admissions Required: Yes
- Holiday Coverage: Must be available for select holidays including:
- New Year's Day
- 4th of July
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Patients Per Shift: Approximately 10-20
- Bed In Department: None
- Rounding: Not applicable
Additional Information:
- Fellowship: Not required but preferred
- Certifications Required:
- ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
- Schedule Details: Full-time need Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on a regular basis. Call schedule TBD, with an expectation of 1:4 rotation
