Locum Tenens Opportunity: Electrophysiology Physician Near Woodstock, OH
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrophysiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Woodstock, OH. This is a rewarding position for a board-certified Electrophysiologist who is ready to provide temporary coverage in a dynamic healthcare setting. The position involves a combination of office clinic work, procedures, and hospital rounding, with a focus on high-quality patient care.
Position Overview:
- Specialty: Electrophysiology
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing (until a long-term candidate is secured)
- Practice Setting: Office clinic, procedures, and hospital rounding
- EMR System: Epic
- Patient Demographic: Adult
Schedule and Coverage:
- Shift Type: Days
- Monday to Friday: 8-hour days with call responsibilities.
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, the physician will be required to take call as part of their duties.
Responsibilities:
- Procedures/Surgeries:
- Radiofrequency Ablation (Catheter Ablation): Perform this key electrophysiology procedure.
- Additional Procedures: Proficiency in devices, ICU care, pacemakers, Micros, and EP studies is required or preferred depending on the specific needs during the coverage period.
- Trauma Level: Level 2 work in a facility that handles a variety of acute cases, offering a stimulating and challenging environment.
- Documentation: Utilize the Epic EMR system to ensure accurate and thorough patient records.
Candidate Requirements:
- Licensure:
- Must hold a current Ohio medical license.
- Certifications:
- Board Certification in Electrophysiology is mandatory.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in performing a wide range of electrophysiology procedures, with a particular emphasis on catheter ablation and device management.
