We have an excellent locum tenens opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This position offers flexibility with multiple shifts available and the chance to provide essential care in a high-volume Emergency Department.


Job Highlights



  • Location: Near Fort Bragg, North Carolina

  • Start Date: December 1, 2024, with ongoing shift options

  • Setting:

    • Emergency Department with an annual volume of 32,000 patients

    • Both inpatient and outpatient services are part of the hospital structure

    • Open ICU available for urgent care needs



  • Shift Details:

    • 12-hour shifts (7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM)

    • Multiple dates available, offering flexibility in scheduling

    • Expected patient load of 18-20 patients per shift



  • Support Team:

    • Emergency Room staffed with one physician and two mid-level providers per shift

    • Access to 24-hour support services including general surgery, anesthesia, lab, orthopedic surgery, and radiology




Requirements



  • Licensing: Must hold an active North Carolina medical license

  • Certifications:

    • Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (minimum requirement)

    • ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certifications are required



  • Medicaid & Medicare: Enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid and PECOS enrollment is required

  • Experience with EMR: Familiarity with MediTech is a plus
