What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and physical examinations for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.
- Formulate personalized treatment plans and ensure effective communication with patients regarding their diagnoses and management options.
- Perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, including esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy, to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders.
- Manage inpatients with gastrointestinal complications, including conducting bedside procedures and collaborating with other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in hospital rounding on admitted patients and provide comprehensive care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in Wisconsin or ability to obtain an Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) privilege.
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Fellowship in Gastroenterology (required).
- Current ACLS certification (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in both clinical and procedural settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- The ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
