Locum Tenens Opportunity: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine near Seattle, WA

Position Overview:



  • Profession: Physician

  • Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine

  • Dates: ASAP - Ongoing

  • Shift Type: Days

  • Rate Type: Daily


Coverage Details:



  • Options for Coverage:

    • Travel and perform exams at a VES leased facility

    • Schedule Veterans within your own practice



  • Shift Options: Work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours)

  • Exam Type: One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + separation health assessments


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct interviews and physical assessments including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury

  • Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams

  • No prescribing or treatment required


Qualifications:



  • Board Certification: Required in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

  • State License: Required in Washington

  • Certifications: DMA certification (CME credits available) must obtain if not already certified; client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training

  • Equipment: Own personal laptop (NO MACs)

  • Required Skills: Use of Goniometer, familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio; proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions

  • Credentialing Timeframe: Quick credentialing & onboarding

  • Support: Normal nursing and tech support available at the facility
