OB/GYN practice on the beautiful California North Coast is looking for a BE, BC generalist to work at an award winning hospital with an award winning obstetric department. This is essentially a designer practice situation in which most needs can be accommodated. You would be working with three CNMs, a board certified FP, and a board certified FACOG doing 30-40 deliveries per month and NO first call, unless needed to help with BE status. Their office sonographer does the only NT testing north of Santa Rosa. Devoted weekly operating room block time is given for your gynecologic surgical ;


 


They have a thriving practice that encompasses high risk obstetrics and all members of their medical staff are board certified in their respective fields. Their Critical Access Hospital keeps them small but financially healthy and vigorous in their pursuit of delivering high quality care. They choose this area because of its outstanding beauty and recreational opportunities.


 


Numerous staff avail themselves of the many activities, such as running (many "fun" and beach runs), biking, kayaking, hiking, camping in the Redwoods, backpacking, salmon and steelhead fishing on the nearby rivers, aviation, surfing, golf, hunting, access to snow skiing and summer water sports, and skin diving. There are youth and adult soccer, softball/baseball, and basketball programs. There are opportunities at ocean beaches, several repertory theaters, excellent eclectic restaurants, a major university and community college events, a beautiful Victorian village, quilting, and active art communities. Churches of all faiths are represented. The elementary and high schools are uniformly ;It's located about 280 miles North of San Francisco and 2 hours from Redding. The community has a local airport.


 


Depending on needs and qualifications there is a generous compensation package that may include signing bonus, moving expenses, first year salary guarantees, health insurance, and loan forgiveness opportunities for those committing to longer stay. Practice choices may allow you to work as a contracted provider or move toward partnership or ownership in the office setting.


 


The office building is 2500 square feet 50 yards from the labor/delivery room door. There is state of the art equipment, full time ultrasonographer, nuchal translucency testing, and three midwives and one family practitioner who does cesarean sections to handle all first call coverage. They are a California dedicated Rural Health Clinic and stable financially.


 


You will be a valued and respected member of a very friendly community. If you desire a home in a traditional neighborhood setting, it is doable. If you desire country living on five or ten acres of land, horses, 4H etc. for the children, AND still be within 10 minutes of the hospital, it is doable.
