Inpatient only
Established team of 2 Physicians and 2 Physician Assistants
19-bed critical access hospital with only general med-surg beds, NO ICU or stepdown
Specialty consultation available including general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, urology, and tele stroke.
Provider is responsible for the currently admitted patients and admissions from the Emergency Department
ACLS certification required
Responds to Codes
Procedures: Preliminary EKG interpretation, interpretation of ABGs, etc
Average Total Inpatient Census: 12-18
Average # of patients/day/provider: 8-14
Average # of admissions/day: 4
Average # of admissions/night: 4
No ICU/Critical Care Duties
Vidant Air and Vidant Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
System-wide EMR (EPIC)
