Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Provide expert radiation oncology care in an outpatient cancer center.
- Manage a variable patient load, ensuring comprehensive treatment planning and delivery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Schedule:
- Full-time schedule with a combination of clinic hours and on-call duties.
- Participate in the holiday coverage rotation, including major holidays such as New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- Practice Setting:
- Focus on outpatient radiation oncology with no inpatient rounding required.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for all patient records and communications.
- Certification and Licensing:
- Must be board-certified in Radiation Oncology.
- Eligible candidates should hold an active license to practice in Wisconsin or be eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Practice Details:
- Practice Setting: Outpatient Cancer Center
- Support Staff:
- Work closely with radiation therapists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other support staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Engage in collaborative care planning with medical oncologists and other specialists as needed.
- EMR System:
- Proficient use of the Epic EMR system is required.
- Call Responsibilities:
- Participate in a call schedule that complements clinical hours, ensuring continuous patient care coverage.
- Privileges:
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges are available for a swift onboarding process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least one year of experience in a radiation oncology setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in managing diverse oncology cases and delivering precision radiation therapy.
- Licensing:
- Must be licensed to practice in Wisconsin or eligible for licensure through IMLC.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using the Epic EMR system for patient management and documentation.
