We are seeking a board-certified Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens assignment in the Ashford area, with potential opportunities for locum-to-permanent transition.
Position Details:
- Location: Washington State, near Ashford
- Position: Locum Tenens - Interventional Radiology Physician
- Setting: Hospital-based practice in a Level 3 Trauma Center
- Schedule:
- Day Shift: 8 to 5
- Call Coverage: Required for the full week if on rotation
- Weekend Requirements: Full 24-hour call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
- Caseload: Approximately 8-11 cases daily, with a high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies
Facility Highlights:
- Emergency Volume: Approximately 55,000 annual ER visits
- EMR System: EPIC, with teleradiology support via Philips ISite platform
- Support Staff: Includes two local interventional radiologists and a team of IR support professionals
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of imaging and interventional procedures:
- Required Imaging Procedures: Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound
- Required Interventional Procedures: Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stenting, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty
- Collaborate with a large team of radiologists across the health system
Qualifications:
- Board Certification: AOBR or ABR in Interventional Radiology Required
- Fellowship Training: Strongly preferred in Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Licensure: Active Washington State medical license Required
- Certifications: ACLS certification Required
Credentialing:
- Timeframe: Approximately 3-4 months to complete credentialing
