Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with trauma surgery and critical care experience? A fantastic locum tenens opportunity is available in Ohio near Lucas, offering a chance to work in a high-acuity trauma environment. This position requires expertise in trauma and critical care for adult patients within a Level II Trauma Center.


Position Details:



  • Start Date: January 1, 2025

  • End Date: Ongoing

  • Shift Type: Varied shifts

  • Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based trauma service

  • Patient Demographics: Adults aged 16 and older; pediatric cases are referred elsewhere.

  • EMR: Epic


Responsibilities:



  • Provide care as part of a dedicated trauma team with 24/7 attending surgeon support.

  • Work autonomously within the trauma service line, not the operating room.

  • Handle trauma alerts, admissions, and critical care management.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, hospital staff, and other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional care.


Requirements:



  • Board Certification as an NP or PA.

  • Active Ohio license (required).

  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS (required). FCCS is highly preferred.

  • Experience in trauma surgery and critical care (no new graduates).

  • Must have hands-on experience managing trauma service cases beyond emergency department exposure.
