Position: Locum - General Medicine & Traumatic Brain Injury Examiner
Overview
Join an innovative healthcare team seeking dedicated providers to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams on a PRN basis. This exciting opportunity requires expertise in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R. As a key player, you'll contribute to comprehensive exams, focusing on patient interviews, physical assessments, and evaluations related to General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Job Details
- Duration: PRN basis, ongoing
- Specialties Accepted: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams Type: General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury
- Physical Assessments: Range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury
- No Prescribing, No Treatment
- DMA Certification: Available (CME credits) - Obtainable post-privileging if not certified
- Use of Goniometer: Required
- Familiarity Required: Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, Cardio
- Proficiency Required: METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Personal Laptop: Must own (No Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training Provided: Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs Submission: Within 48 hours upon exam completion, standardized form(s)
- Evaluation Platform: VES's provider portal
- Provider Needed: 1
Credentialing Requirements
- Board Certification: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Active License: Unrestricted, Full
- DMA Certification: Willingness to complete training and become DMA certified
- CV: Current home address listed for presentation
- ECFMG Certificate: Required if schooling was in a different country
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to perform Gen Med & TBI exams
- Wear a mask during all visits
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible: Within 0-3 years of residency
