We are searching for a qualified provider to join our busy program and contribute to a collaborative surgical team. This locum tenens position offers a diverse caseload, OR-only focus, and the potential to transition to a permanent role.

What You'll Do:



  • Perform a variety of open and endoscopic vein harvesting techniques (including Maquet Vasoview 2) as the primary harvester.

  • Assist surgeons in all cardiothoracic cases as a first or second assistant.

  • Place arterial lines and perform other related procedures within the operating room setting.

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.


Who You Are:



  • National Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (preferred) (required).

  • Current and active license to practice medicine in California (required).

  • ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications (required).

  • Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting techniques and a strong foundation in cardiothoracic surgery principles (preferred).

  • Excellent surgical skills, first assisting experience, and strong technical abilities in a sterile environment.

  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.

  • Strong work ethic, time management skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced surgical environment.
