We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join a surgical team in a locum to perm opportunity near Roseburg, Oregon. This is an excellent chance for those looking to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused healthcare environment.


Position Overview

Schedule Details



  • Shift Type: Days

  • Shift Options:

    • Four 10-hour shifts

    • Five 8-hour shifts



  • On-Call Requirements: To be determined


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in surgical procedures and patient care in various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and ENT.

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice.

  • Ensure proper sterile techniques are maintained at all times during surgery.

  • Collaborate with the operative team, including surgeons and nursing staff, to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Participate in room setup, turnover, and other operational duties as directed.

  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.


Job Requirements



  • Board Certification: Required

  • Licensure: Must have or be willing to obtain an Oregon license.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PA work experience in orthopedics required.

  • Local Ties: Preference for candidates with ties to Oregon, such as family or previous residency in the state.


Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Capacity to lift up to 75 pounds and assist patients in various mobility tasks.

  • Must possess adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision.
