Shift Details:



  • Neonatal nurse practitioner shifts are 24 hours in-house

  • Full-time employment entails 3 shifts every 2 weeks

Job Details:



  • Practice Setting: NICU

  • Reason for Coverage: Vacancies


Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with supervising Neonatologists to coordinate patient care for high-risk newborn population

  • Manage well and critically ill infants using a family-centered approach

  • Majority of patients born at Munson Medical Center, some transported from region by neonatal transport team or through emergency department after discharge

  • Neonatal program serves well newborns (0-2 per day) and NICU patients (levels 2 and 3) with total average daily census 12-14

  • Lead robust neonatal transport team covering 150-mile radius, using ambulance, helicopter, or fixed-wing airplane

  • NICU capabilities include care for all gestational ages, various ventilation methods, central line management, retinopathy of prematurity exams, and standard diagnostic services

  • Daily multidisciplinary rounds with patients family and various healthcare professionals promote family-centered care


Requirements:



  • Board Certified - REQUIRED

  • MI Specialty APRN License - REQUIRED

  • BLS Certification, NRP Certification - REQUIRED

  • Advanced Training Program and Certified by NCC as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - REQUIRED

  • 2 years level III RN/NNP experience preferred

  • 500 Clinical Hours within the last three years

  • Ability to work well both independently and as a team member

  • Maintain NNP best practices in all practice environments

  • Flexibility
