Seeking a Dedicated and Experienced Pediatrician for Locum Tenens Role


Are you a compassionate Pediatrician passionate about caring for children and adolescents? We're searching for a skilled and dedicated provider to join our team in a growing community near Abbotsford, WI. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the permanent position is filled.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.

  • Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings.

  • Perform admissions for pediatric patients and manage their care throughout their hospital stay.

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Participate in hospital rounds and provide care for assigned pediatric patients on the inpatient unit.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) medical license or eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges.

  • Board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is mandatory.

  • Experience in a hospital setting managing pediatric patients is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in pediatrics.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.

  • Ability to manage both scheduled clinic hours and call coverage.
