Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB-GYN for Locum Tenens Call Coverage


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) passionate about women's health? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide inpatient call coverage in a growing community near Arrington, TN. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the need is filled.


Responsibilities:



  • Respond to call requests and manage a variety of obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and high-risk situations within a hospital setting.

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes for women experiencing childbirth or gynecological emergencies.

  • Participate in hospital rounds and provide comprehensive care for assigned inpatient obstetric and gynecological patients.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the eCW and MedHost electronic medical record systems.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Tennessee (TN) medical license or eligible for temporary licensure.

  • Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is mandatory.

  • Fellowship in a relevant subspecialty is preferred.

  • Experience in a hospital setting managing inpatient obstetric and gynecological patients is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams in high-stress situations.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Requirements:



  • Must hold a valid Tennessee state license and be enrolled in TN Medicaid.

  • Up-to-date certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred but not mandatory.
