Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Surgeon specializing in Trauma for a locum tenens position near BABSON PARK, FL. This role includes scheduled clinical hours plus call, providing comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Manage an average of 10 patients per shift in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Clinical Duties: Provide general and trauma surgical care to pediatric patients aged 0-17 (trauma care limited to ages 0-15).
- Administrative Duties: Utilize the Cerner EMR system for all patient documentation and management.
- Rounding: Perform rounds on both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring continuous care.
- On-call Duties: Provide 24-hour call coverage with clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Call starts at 7 AM and ends at 6:59 AM the following day.

- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Fellowship: Preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience in pediatric and trauma surgery is preferred.
- Credentialing: The estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days.
