We are actively seeking a qualified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in a welcoming area of Texas near Temple. This position is ideal for providers passionate about delivering inpatient rehabilitative care and committed to supporting patient recovery through individualized, high-quality treatments. Position Details



  • Location: Texas (Near Temple)

  • Position Type: Locum Tenens (Temporary, ongoing)

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Schedule:

    • Monday through Friday, with half-day Saturday shifts required

    • No call requirements



  • Setting: Inpatient, sub-acute rehabilitation facility with a supportive and collaborative care environment


Job Highlights



  • Patient Volume: Average of 20 patients per day

  • Support Team: PM&R and Internal Medicine coverage, including PT and PMR providers 7 days a week

  • Call and Procedures: No on-call duties and no procedures required


Skills and Responsibilities



  • Specialty Focus: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a focus on:

    • Pain management (chronic and acute) without injections

    • Joint, trigger point, and epidural blocks preferred (no fluoroscopic guidance required)

    • Diagnostics including EMG and nerve conduction studies

    • Wound debridement and arthrocentesis

    • Stress reduction and relaxation techniques for holistic patient care



  • Certifications Required:

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)



  • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 45-60 days, expedited for providers with a clear record
