Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call coverage for emergency services and surgical procedures.
- Perform a variety of general surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Appendectomies
- Cholecystectomies
- Hernioplasties
- Laparoscopic surgeries
- Breast surgeries
- Gastrointestinal endoscopies
- Vascular procedures
- Complete post-operative consultations during your shift.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required; must be board-eligible or certified in general surgery.
- Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in Oregon.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; other certifications preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Acute care surgery experience preferred.
Schedule:
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM)
- On-call Requirements: Providers will be on call for the emergency department.
- Support Staff: PA/NP coverage will be available for assistance during daytime and weekend shifts.
