We are actively seeking a Urology Physician for a locum tenens position near Cloquet, MN. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential urological care in an inpatient setting with call-only coverage. Position Overview:

  • Coverage Type: Call-only (24/7/365)

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient

  • Collaborative Team: 3 board-certified surgeons and experienced support staff, including an APC with urology expertise


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide 24/7 urological care in an inpatient setting

  • Call coverage on an ongoing basis, with Monday volumes typically higher following weekends

  • Collaborate with the surgical team and support staff for comprehensive patient care

  • Rounding duties may be shared with the APC, who assists with morning hospital rounds

  • Manage variable call volumes, depending on the day and specific needs


Qualifications:



  • Board Certification: Eligible (Board certification not required for the assignment)

  • License: Must hold an active Minnesota license or be eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

  • Certifications Required:

    • ACLS: Required

    • BLS: Required

    • PALS: Not required



  • Temporary Privileges: Available for fast onboarding

  • Hospital Privileges: Not required


Facility and Practice Details:



  • EMR System: MediTech

  • Admissions: Yes, admissions are required

  • Rounding: Required, with support from an experienced APC

  • Stroke Certification: Yes, the facility is stroke certified

  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

  • Call Volume: Variable depending on daily needs; Monday volumes tend to be higher
