Permanent Palliative Medicine Physician Opportunity Near Douglasville, Georgia

A renowned healthcare provider near Douglasville, Georgia, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Palliative Medicine Physician to expand their current palliative care service line. This role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance both inpatient and limited outpatient palliative care services in a supportive and collaborative environment.


Position Overview:


Role:



  • Join an established, collaborative, and collegial inpatient palliative care team.

  • Work alongside one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker.

  • Lead the development of an outpatient program to enhance palliative care services.


Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the design and implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic.

  • Develop and grow a Home-Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Experience in palliative medicine within an acute care hospital setting is preferred.

  • Program management experience is advantageous.


Requirements:


Education:



  • Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care through the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery.

  • Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship.

  • Current Georgia Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.


Schedule:



  • Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, totaling 40 hours per week.
