We have an open locum tenens position for an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician near Fort Bragg, NC. This role is ideal for an experienced OBGYN looking to provide supplemental coverage and contribute to a supportive team in a clinical setting. Position Overview:



  • Location: Near Fort Bragg, NC

  • Job Type: Locum Tenens, Call Only

  • Dates Needed: 24-hour call shifts available on select weekends from January to March 2025

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient only, no outpatient responsibilities

  • Facilities & Support:

    • On-call support from hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology teams available 24/7

    • Emergency C-sections and GYN procedures

    • Nearby high-risk NICU transfer centers



  • Housing: Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility


Position Details:




  • Role Requirements:



    • Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

    • Active NC medical license, NC DEA, NC Medicaid credentialing

    • Current NC Medicare/PECOS enrollment

    • Full COVID-19 vaccination

    • Recent, hospital-verified case logs for past 24 months




  • Key Skills Required:



    • Low and high-risk pregnancy management

    • Fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasounds, and routine deliveries

    • C-sections, complicated deliveries, and repair of lacerations

    • Gynecological procedures, including IUD insertion, LEEP, minor surgeries, and cystectomy

    • Must be capable of managing emergent obstetric and GYN cases




  • Patient Care Details:



    • Average of 27 monthly deliveries, with approximately 11 C-sections

    • Census of 1-3 deliveries per 24-hour shift

    • High-risk cases transferred to nearby facilities




Additional Information:



  • Call Requirements: 20-minute call response time required

  • Travel Support: Travel capped at $500, with preference for candidates within driving distance

  • Credentialing: Estimated 10-day credentialing timeframe
