Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB-GYN for Locum Tenens Call Coverage


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) passionate about women's health? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide inpatient call coverage in a growing community near Fort Bragg, NC. This temporary opportunity is available from October 4th, 2024, to October 31st, 2024.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide timely and high-quality inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care to women within a hospital setting.

  • Respond to call requests and manage a variety of obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and high-risk situations.

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Participate in hospital rounds and provide comprehensive care for assigned patients.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech electronic medical record system.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Missouri (MO) medical license or eligible for temporary licensure.

  • Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is mandatory.

  • Experience in a hospital setting managing inpatient obstetric and gynecological patients is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a strong clinical foundation in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Requirements:



  • Must be credentialed with Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider.

  • Active North Carolina (NC) license and NC DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration with a North Carolina address are required.

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) number must be provided.

  • Must have valid NC Medicaid credentials.

  • No recent or open malpractice cases. Details required in application submission.

  • All-inclusive compensation rate is preferred. Alternatively, the rate must include 4-6 complimentary hours per call shift.

  • Case logs from the past two years are required for submission. Documentation must be from a hospital setting, not an estimate.
