Locum Tenens Opportunity: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Near Garfield, WA
We are actively seeking a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a locum tenens position near Garfield, WA. This role is ideal for an experienced PM&R physician looking to contribute to an inpatient setting with the potential for a long-term engagement. The position offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, with no call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.
Position Overview:

- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Provide inpatient rehabilitation care to patients in a specialized unit.
- Manage a patient load of approximately 10 patients per shift.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Initial full-time coverage required, with the expectation to transition to 2-3 weeks of coverage per month once a supplemental physician is onboarded.
- Practice Setting:
- Focused on inpatient rehabilitation with no outpatient responsibilities.
- No call duties, providing a stable work-life balance.
- EMR System:
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for all patient documentation and management.
- Certification and Licensing:
- Must be board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Fellowship training is preferred but not required.
- Must hold an active license to practice in Washington or be eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Practice Details:
- Practice Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- Support Staff:
- Work within a collaborative team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals.
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a well-supported environment.
- Holidays:
- Coverage includes major holidays: New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- Support and Resources:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least one year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in managing complex rehabilitation cases.
- Licensing:
- Must be licensed to practice in Washington or eligible for licensure through IMLC.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using the Epic EMR system for patient care and documentation.
