Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Near Glidden, WI


We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine physician with a specialization in Hematology and Oncology for a locum tenens position near Glidden, WI. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient care and offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in a dynamic practice setting. The position is available starting ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis.


Position Overview:



  • Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

  • Type: Locum Tenens

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • End Date: Ongoing

  • Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call

  • Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient


Key Responsibilities:




  • Clinical Hours:



    • Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    • Weekend call is required one weekend per month, primarily for phone consultations from Friday night through Monday morning. Additional weekday and weekend call is covered by another group.




  • Patient Load:



    • Approximately 15 to 20 patients per shift.

    • The role involves both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.




  • Qualifications:



    • Board certification in Hematology and Oncology is required.

    • Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology is preferred.

    • An active Wisconsin (WI) medical license is needed.

    • Certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and BLS are required; ABLS and PALS are not.




  • EMR System:



    • The facility uses Cerner for electronic medical records.




  • Additional Details:



    • Bone marrow biopsies are optional.

    • The practice is equipped with Intellidose TxM for medication management.

    • Temporary privileges are available with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days if the credentialing file is clean.




  • Compensation and Benefits:



    • Competitive pay with options for housing and travel arrangements if needed.

    • Reimbursement for licensing costs is not provided.
