We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Hardin, Montana. This position is available starting ASAP and is expected to continue on an ongoing basis. The role focuses on both scheduled clinical hours and call coverage.


Position Overview

Responsibilities and Schedule



  • Clinical Hours:

    • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    • Inpatient setting with an average of 12-15 patients seen per day



  • Call Coverage:

    • Night and weekend call responsibilities

    • Call shifts from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM

    • 1-2 phone consults per day during off-hours




Practice Details



  • EMR System: PinPoint

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient

  • Rounding: Both inpatient rounding and clinic responsibilities required

  • Bed Capacity: Not specified


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Certifications:

    • Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

    • ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification required

    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred but not required



  • Licensing: Must be licensed in Montana

  • Experience: Fellowship training is preferred but not required


Additional Information



  • Reason for Coverage: This position is needed due to a physician transition and ongoing coverage requirements.

  • Support Staff: The facility offers a full hospital support team, including in-house Internal Medicine provider coverage.

  • Patient Population: Ages 18 and up, with a focus on inpatient care.


The facility is open to considering multiple providers if necessary but prefers to fill this role with a single physician who can commit to the duration of the assignment. This is a great opportunity for a PM&R physician looking to provide critical care in an inpatient setting with a manageable call schedule.
