Physicians interested in this role should be licensed in Oregon, with no board certification requirement. While board certification is not mandatory, candidates must be eligible for board certification. Basic life support (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications are preferred. The facility does not reimburse for licensing costs.
Responsibilities include providing call coverage for the pediatric department, with an average patient load of 1-3 per shift. The practice setting is strictly inpatient, with rounding duties conducted in the birthing center. Temporary privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 30-60 days.
