Seeking a Qualified and Compassionate Emergency Medicine Provider for Locum Tenens Role


We are searching for a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Emergency Medicine to join our team and provide locum tenens coverage for a long-term vacancy. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the permanent position is filled.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies within a fast-paced inpatient setting.

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures.

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Provide clear and concise communication with patients and their families throughout their emergency care journey.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted California (CA) license as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced emergency department setting is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stressful situations and build rapport with patients and families.

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule:
