Seeking a Qualified and Experienced OB-GYN to Manage Increased Patient Volume


Are you a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) passionate about women's health? We're searching for a skilled physician to join our team in a growing community near Pickett, WI. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the end of the year (December 31st, 2024) to help manage anticipated patient volume increases.


Responsibilities:



  • Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population in both an outpatient and inpatient setting.

  • Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform gynecological procedures as needed.

  • Provide prenatal care, deliver babies, and manage postpartum care for expecting mothers.

  • Manage a variety of obstetric and gynecological emergencies and high-risk situations within the hospital setting (anticipated call coverage during peak months).

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech electronic medical record system.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted medical license or eligible for temporary licensure in Wisconsin (WI).

  • Board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is mandatory.

  • Experience in a hospital setting managing both inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecological patients is preferred.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in obstetrics and gynecology.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Requirements:



  • Must have or be eligible for hospital/surgery center privileges at the affiliated facility.

  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are mandatory.
