We are seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist with Mammography (biopsy) privileges for a locum tenens position near Sacramento, CA. This role is ideal for a radiologist interested in working in an outpatient clinic setting with immediate start dates.


Position Overview:



  • Position: Locum Tenens Diagnostic Radiologist

  • Location: Near Sacramento, CA

  • Dates: ASAP - Ongoing

  • Shift Type: Days

  • Rate: Competitive hourly rate

  • Weekend Requirements: None

  • On Call Requirements: None


Key Responsibilities:



  • Diagnostic Imaging:

    • Perform and interpret diagnostic studies across all modalities.

    • Conduct diagnostic mammograms, including breast biopsies.



  • Required Procedures:

    • Breast biopsies.



  • Setting:

    • Outpatient clinic with support staff including radiology techs and ultrasound techs.



  • EMR:

    • Cerner.




Practice Setting:



  • Support Staff:

    • Radiology techs, ultrasound techs, and other support personnel are available to assist.



  • Reason for Coverage:

    • Position available due to the resignation of a radiologist.




Requirements:



  • Certifications:

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology

    • DEA registration.



  • State License:

    • Active California state license required.




Submission Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology.

  • Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

  • Licensure: Must hold an active California state license.

  • Procedures: Experience with breast biopsies is essential.
