We have an open position with flexible scheduling for a skilled professional near Grass Valley, CA. This role involves working within a general acute care hospital to provide essential imaging and interventional radiology services.

Required Skills & Certifications



  • Licensing: Active California Medical License required

  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology

  • Additional Certifications: BLS, CA Fluoroscopy, and DEA license

  • Preferred Experience: Clean malpractice history is highly desired


Role Responsibilities



  • Provide coverage for interventional radiology needs and stroke-related imaging.

  • Primary Procedures: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, CT/US-guided biopsies, and lumbar punctures.

  • Imaging Duties: Stroke CTs, ICU, and ED imaging studies. Daily studies include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI.


Daily Volume



  • Studies per Day: Approximately 50 studies, including:

    • CTs: 15-20

    • X-rays: 15-20

    • Ultrasounds: 10

    • MRIs: 5

    • IR Procedures: 5-8




Support and Tools



  • Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and radiology techs on-site

  • EMR System: Cerner


Credentialing Requirements



  • Documentation Needed: Updated CV, provider's NPI or license number, availability, and malpractice history.
