Locum Tenens: Pediatric Surgeon Needed (Near Tornillo, TX)


Are you a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Surgeon seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Tornillo, TX? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital pediatric surgical support on a call-only basis (ASAP - Ongoing).


This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment to manage anticipated surges in patient volume within a defined timeframe, allowing you to contribute to exceptional pediatric care while managing your workload effectively. We welcome applications from Texas state-licensed physicians only.

  • Focused Call Coverage: Enjoy a predictable schedule with defined call periods, allowing for focused periods of on-site availability while maintaining a flexible schedule outside of call hours.

  • Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 30 days). While our facility utilizes the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system, we will provide comprehensive training to ensure seamless integration into our workflow.

  • Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with other physicians, nurses, surgical technicians, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your young patients.


Qualifications:



  • Board-certified in Pediatric Surgery is ;Fellowship training is not required.

  • Active medical license in Texas (TX) only is mandatory.

  • Current certification in ACLS and BLS is essential for patient safety.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an inpatient pediatric surgery setting is preferred.

  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

  • A commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality, patient-centered care.
