An exciting locum tenens position is available for a skilled OB/GYN physician in the Turner, Oregon area. This ongoing assignment, located in a scenic part of Oregon, requires a dedicated physician to provide exceptional care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Here are the details:
Position Overview
- Role: OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens)
- Location: Near Turner, Oregon
- Start Date: February 1, 2025
- Duration: Ongoing need, with potential extension beyond March
- Availability: Flexible; two weeks per month preferred
Coverage Details
- Schedule: Primarily 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
- Call: Beeper call; in-house presence not required but recommended due to frequent activity
- Setting: Both outpatient and inpatient
- Holidays Included: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
Practice Requirements
- Certifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- BLS certification required
- Support Staff:
- 7 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 1 Medical Assistant (MA)
- Supervision: Required for Advanced Practice Providers
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Patients per Shift: Approximately 20
- Annual Deliveries: Approximately 312
- Specialty Skills Required:
- Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I and II)
- Routine and complicated deliveries, including VBACs, C-sections, and multiple births
- Gynecological procedures: IUD insertions, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and minor office procedures
- Surgical gynecology, including tubal ligation, cystectomy, and laparoscopic procedures
Facility Information
- EMR System: Epic
- Privileges: Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available
- Trauma Level: Level II
Additional Details
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
- Travel and Lodging: Vendor-provided insurance; nearby lodging recommendations available
