Key Responsibilities:




  • Inpatient and Outpatient Care:



    • Provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

    • Manage labor and delivery, perform surgical interventions, and provide follow-up care.

    • Conduct prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic examinations.




  • Emergency and Call Coverage:



    • Take 24-hour call shifts, with responsibilities including managing obstetric emergencies and performing general elective surgical cases if desired.

    • Supervise and collaborate with other healthcare providers, including residents and fellows, during call shifts.




  • Patient Management:



    • Handle an average of 3 patients per shift, ensuring high-quality care and timely interventions.

    • Engage in rounding activities, both scheduled and unscheduled, to ensure comprehensive patient care.




  • Documentation and Compliance:



    • Utilize Athena EMR for charting and maintaining detailed medical records.

    • Adhere to regulatory standards and facility protocols, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all documentation.




Position Details:




  • Dates Needed:



    • Coverage required from September 4, 2024, at 7 to September 9, 2024, at 7




  • Schedule:



    • Includes both scheduled clinical hours and call coverage.

    • Flexibility to handle general elective surgical cases if preferred.




  • Qualifications:



    • Licensure: Must hold an active Michigan medical license.

    • Board Certification: Required; fellowship preferred but not mandatory.

    • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required. No ABLS, ATLS needed.

    • Background: Clean malpractice background is essential due to the timing of this assignment.
