Palliative Care Opportunity Near Wilson, NC


We are seeking a fellowship-trained Palliative Care physician (MD or DO) to join an expanding Hospice and Palliative Care program near Wilson, NC. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to those at the end of life, offering support to both patients and their families during this critical time. Candidates with training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine are preferred, though new graduates and visa candidates (J-1 or H-1B) are encouraged to apply.


Opportunity Highlights:



  • Program Expansion: Join an established Palliative Care team that is growing to meet increasing patient needs. The team currently includes 2 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care.

  • Inpatient & Outpatient Care: Provide consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with the added flexibility of offering telemedicine services for patient convenience.

  • Dedicated Palliative Care Unit: Work in a specialized 16-bed Palliative Care Unit, ensuring that patients receive dedicated, high-quality care in a compassionate environment.

  • Flexible Work Schedule: Enjoy a 4-day work week (8 am - 6 pm), allowing for a better work-life balance. Weekend call rotation is shared at a 1:4 ratio.

  • Interdisciplinary Approach: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
