Are you a skilled and experienced Anesthesiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity that offers diverse casework and a supportive environment? We are actively searching for a dedicated MD to provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a growing community near Crane, Indiana.
This exciting position allows you to leverage your expertise in a dynamic setting, while also enjoying a predictable schedule:
- Structured Schedule with Call: Maintain a consistent work-life balance with weekday hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Manage call responsibilities typically on Fridays with a 20-minute response time. The call schedule is designed to be equivalent/fair to the workload of the full-time MDs.
- Supervisory Role: Utilize your experience to supervise as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of the anesthesia department.
- Diverse Case Mix: Deliver anesthesia care across a wide range of specialties, including:
- Cardiac (TEE capable)
- Orthopedics
- Endoscopy
- General Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Vascular Surgery
- Gynecology
- Pediatrics
- Urology
- Acute Pain Management
- Trauma (excluding OB)
- Proficiency in Techniques: Demonstrate expertise in performing spinals, blocks, and epidurals.
- Advanced Technology: Maintain patient records efficiently with the Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Integrate into a team of 18 providers working across 9 operating rooms, 2 dedicated endoscopy rooms, a cardiovascular room, a catheterization lab, and an interventional radiology suite.
- Maintain Licensure: Hold a valid medical license in the state of Indiana and possess a Controlled Substances Permit (COI - IN PCF). While TEE/Heart experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required, and must be obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA).
