CRNA Locum Tenens Opportunity Near DIXFIELD ME

  • Setting: This locum tenens opportunity is based in an inpatient setting, offering a dynamic environment for CRNAs to apply their skills.

  • Case Types: The case types predominantly include bread and butter procedures, excluding neuro, trauma, vascular, or heart surgeries. However, the facility accommodates OB, cath labs, and other procedures such as healthy pediatric, ENT, and rare Ortho cases, contributing to a diverse caseload with over 500 deliveries per year.

  • Work Environment: Expect a fast-paced environment with quick turnover, providing an engaging experience for CRNAs seeking dynamic work settings.

  • Staffing Ratio: The staffing ratio stands at 4 CRNAs to 1 Anesthesiologist, ensuring adequate support and collaboration within the team.

  • Credentialing Timeframe: The credentialing process is estimated to take between 60 to 90 days, allowing sufficient time for thorough vetting and onboarding procedures.

  • EMR: The facility utilizes Epic, requiring proficiency from candidates to navigate and utilize electronic medical records effectively.


Requirements:



  • NBCRNA Certification: Candidates must hold current certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.

  • Active Maine License or IMLC/Compact: A valid and active license to practice in Maine is mandatory, or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

  • Availability: Applicants are required to specify their availability to ensure alignment with the facility's scheduling needs.

  • Proficiency with EPIC: Candidates should be proficient in using Epic EMR systems, as it is the primary electronic medical records system utilized by the facility.

  • Covid and Flu Vaccine: Due to health and safety protocols, candidates must provide proof of receiving both Covid and flu vaccines, with no exemptions or exceptions allowed.


Certification & License Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Board certification in nurse anesthesia is mandatory for this position.

  • License: Candidates must possess an active and unrestricted license to practice in Maine.
