  Key Responsibilities:

  
  
  
  
  • Administer safe and effective anesthesia care for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients (16+) undergoing a variety of surgical procedures in hospital operating rooms, endoscopy units, the cardiac lab, and the ambulatory surgery center.
  
  
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists (supervised 1:4 ratio; 1:2 for cardiac), nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records within the EPIC electronic medical records system.
  
  
  • Participate in pre-operative assessments and patient education as needed.

  Qualifications for Success:

  
  
  
  
  • National Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) is mandatory.
  
  
  • Valid and active New York State licensure (highly preferred) or willingness to obtain one is required.
  
  
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  
  
  • Experience providing anesthesia care in various surgical specialties, including experience in a Level II trauma center, is preferred.
  
  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff.
  
  
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.
  
  
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential.
