Non-Invasive Cardiologist Opportunity near ROCKAWAY PARK, NY


We are currently seeking a skilled non-invasive Cardiology trained physician to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. This is a permanent position, and we welcome applications from individuals with one to three years of cardiology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

  • Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of cardiology conditions to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Competency in diagnosis and treatment to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Interest in Population Health Management.


Responsibilities:



  • Review patient's medical history and perform physical examinations.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care for disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system.

  • Perform a wide range of non-invasive Cardiology procedures, including echocardiography, stress echo testing, and pacemaker/defibrillator monitoring.

  • Diagnose patients with the aid of diagnostic images, electrocardiograph recordings, and other testing.

  • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.

  • Recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.

  • Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patient's psychosocial and physical needs.

  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.

  • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.


Qualifications:


Education & Experience:



  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent.

  • Completion of a four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in the area of practice and three years of cardiology fellowship training.

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, or Echocardiography with a preference for Level II or Level III COCATS certification.

  • Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers.

  • Current, unrestricted New York State license.

  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.

  • Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.

  • BLS or ACLS certification required (both strongly preferred).

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
