What You'll Do:
- Manage all aspects of patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) during the night shift (7 pm - 7 am).
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic procedures to guide patient care decisions.
- Provide clear and concise communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding patient status and treatment plans.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and efficiently within the Epic electronic medical records system.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in the state of New Mexico (only).
- Board-certified in Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Surgery (ABS), American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), or American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (required).
- Current ACLS certification (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team environment.
