This facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center
Case types include Trauma, General, OB, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, healthy Peds, EP studies and Endo.
Anesthesiologists in-house and the Anesthetists take back-up call from home (30-minute response time)
They have a peel off schedule so shifts rotate (meaning we aren't doing a special schedule for one locum and complicating the schedule for the perms) and will be a mix of 8, 10 and sometimes 12-hour shifts
The person on 1st call works from 11:00am - 7:00pm and carries the beeper all night. The 2nd call person is only on call until 11:00pm on weeknights and 8:00am - 3:00pm on weekends
