Locums Emergency Medicine needed in Texas



  • Start Dec - On-going 

  • ABEM only at this time

  • Volume: 27,000 annually— patients per hour

  • 13 ER beds, 2 are trauma rooms

  • 24/7 physician coverage; 8-hour shifts; 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a

  • Stacked midlevel coverage from 9a-3a

  • EMR- ProMed

  • Scribe Program

  • Admit rate: 20%

  • Acuity level: Moderately high

  • Transfer: Keep most of patients, usually do not transfer—Except pediatrics which go to other facilities 

  • Specialty back-up: All specialty back-up is pulled from the surrounding community. Comprehensive coverage with limited deficiencies—limited coverage for hand surgery, plastics, urology.

  • CT and Lab on-site 24x7 

  • Turnaround time for CT and Lab is typically no more than 45 minutes

  • Ultrasound in the ED; Sonsonite Titan

  • Trauma: Trauma Level III
