Are you a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute your skills to a high-acuity environment near Blue Eye, Missouri? We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide vital care for patients experiencing emergencies. This locum tenens position offers a flexible schedule with varied shifts (8 hours) and call coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact while tailoring your work experience.
Bridge a Coverage Gap at a Level 1 Trauma Center:
- Long-Term Need: Help fill an ongoing vacancy within a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring exceptional care for a diverse patient population.
- Advanced Resources: Benefit from access to a full array of specialty backup services, including 24-hour MRI/CT availability, a dedicated STEMI team, stroke team, and ED psychiatric services.
Supportive Environment and Streamlined Workflow:
- Manageable Patient Load: See approximately 15 patients per shift, allowing you to provide personalized care in a fast-paced setting.
- Collaborative Team: Work alongside skilled and experienced APP support staff in triage, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Advanced Technology: Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for efficient documentation and communication.
- Comprehensive Support: Enjoy the support of a 70-bed emergency department with an 11-bed dedicated pediatric unit.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). Family Medicine board certification with ED fellowship or experience is not accepted due to Level 1 Trauma Center requirements.
- Missouri Licensure: Maintain a current Missouri medical license.
- Essential Certifications: Hold current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and BLS.
- Experience and Availability: Possess Emergency Medicine residency training and be available for ongoing coverage, ideally up to 20 shifts per month.
