Facility Information

• Annual Volume: 42,000 patient visits.


• Physician Coverage: 36 hours per day.


• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts.


• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Coverage: 36 hours per day.


• EMR System: Meditech P-doc EMR with M-Modal Dictation for efficient and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.


• Coverage: Work 12-hour shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.


• Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including APPs, to deliver comprehensive emergency care.


• Admissions: Coordinate patient admissions with hospitalists and other specialists as needed.


• Documentation: Utilize the Meditech EMR system for patient records and M-Modal for dictation.

Qualifications

• Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).


• Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in Texas or have the ability to obtain one.


• Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department is preferred.


• Certifications: ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
